Tara did an absolutely fantastic job selling our house in Westport. The whole thing happened while we stayed in our winter home in Florida. She took care of EVERYTHING? Staging, pictures, organization, multiple calls to municipality clearing up open permit and other issues, open houses, private tours, pricing strategy, managing offers/counters and ultimately got us to close at a price we are happy with. Tara was an amazing realtor to work with. I had the best possible experience as a result of her knowledge, execution focus, follow-up…the list goes on! I moved across the country and she managed the complete process of 1) working with her amazing team of contractor contacts to to refurbish my home, so it looked like the day I bought it and 2) all of the paperwork and steps needed to get the house listed and sold…above asking, after one day on the market. I was very skeptical leaving the state and putting someone else in charge of both selling and maintaining my property as I transitioned to a new work role and house. She has gone above and beyond what most would do to look out for my best interests and being out of state at closing, has absolutely been a rock star assisting myself and my family. Tara helped me at a time when there was a lot more than just selling my home happening. She did a deep competitive market analysis (CMA), helped set the timing of the sale, explained what would really help sell the home quickly, and used fantastic photos to market my house. We had dozens of people at the open houses, and more than 70 (!) private showings, all leading to the exact selling price I wanted. I would (and have) recommend Tara to anyone interested in a trustworthy, smart agent who will be with them through the process!

I am so grateful Tara came to my rescue when she did. My entire adult life, I've done my best to avoid hiring service-providers because I both dread correcting others when their work is not great and I like things to actually be great (you can imagine how well that works out for me day to day). So each time I've sold a house in the past, getting an agent was just a "necessary evil" as far as I was concerned. And the agent before Tara was an absolute disaster, who certainly did not help change my mind. But Tara did! Tara became the exception to my rule. Ms. Chlupsa was referred to me after I had to fire the original agent a few weeks into the listing. By then, the initial hype of "a new home on the market" was gone and dozens of potentials buyers had been squandered into the wind. I already moved to California and we were heading into the winter months. Nothing about this was going to be easy. And to add insult to injury, I myself was admittedly a paranoid seller because I just got conned by my last agent. But Tara did not bat an eye, rolled with it from day one, and got it all done. Tara Chlupsa is highly intelligent, wonderfully communicative, and incredibly patient. I would argue that nothing else matters as much as these three traits when it comes to working with someone, and so I recommend Tara without any reservations.

My husband and I consider ourselves unbelievably fortunate and lucky that Zillow connected us to agent, Tara Chlupsa. We were residing in Maryland and looking at real estate options in Fairfield and New Haven counties, CT, having decided to return to our home state once we were both retired. So, the first challenge for Tara was we were remote. She impressed us immediately with the first property that brought us together, with her easy willingness to extend her typical driving perimeter into New Haven county and involve my CT sister in the viewing. She also listened intently to our needs and desire to assess different property types (i.e. both single and multi-family homes). Tara was also amazingly responsive, which definitely became essential when "getting our feet wet" with the market for a future retirement home, became "we need to find a house in Fairfield county ASAP" when my husband was unexpectedly offered a dream job. She pulled out all the stops with the homes we saw online in our price range and desired location, scheduling FaceTime viewings and, at times, squeezing in an appointment with the seller's agent immediately after an open house for a more private look. And when it came down to "the" house, the one that checked all our boxes, she expertly guided us on our initial offer, then "best and last," which was the one the sellers accepted! This could not have happened without Tara's skill, experience and her commitment to her clients. As a result, though sooner than expected, we are happily returning to CT, our family and the New England we have dearly missed.
